... gay - so what?

Being gay maybe sometimes mean that you have the feeling being an alien or ... to speak with Harry Potter - being a wizard amongst muggles. Although there is nothing really gay within the Harry-Potter-Series, although an American professor of ltierary studies, his name's Michael Bronski wrote in the "Boston Phoenix" journal that there is hidden gay stuff. I think that far-fetched because Mrs Rowling seems not competent enough for me to write about gay stuff. Nothingtheless one of the users within my gay Harry Potter discussion board also thinks that there is a way for a gay interpretation of the whole series. Mrs Rowling herself thinks that's rubbish. I agree! But that's just that. Let's go and talk about real gays - and perhaps a little bit about me being gay.

Why does he think he has to point to that?

I don't do that because there weren't enough sites about that already. There are and one of these good ones wrote Keks / Oli Oli. It's really amazing what he did and it's honest upright and true what he wrote. And it seems necessary still to talk openly about that topic although many heterosexuals think that wouldn't matter anymore.
There's a necessary reason for your coming-out. Because you don't have to fear anymore that anyone could talk about that without your permission. There's no chance for evil gossiping about you when you say: "Hi, I'm here and I'm gay (or lesbian)!" There will be no nightmares anymore, and it's no reason for psychosomatic illnesses and your sexlife will also benefit.
Surely: all psychologists and psychiatrist of the world won't have no reason anymore to get rich at your expense. But that won't matter. There are enough idiots in this world to last for long. We don't have to make idiots of ourselves because we don't dare to do what we love best. And why do you care about religious fundamentalists? They say we're damned anyway. Don't worry about them.

Klaus Wowereit, mayor of Berlin outet himself during the party conference of the Berlin SPD where he should be nominated as candidate for the elections. He said: "I am gay ... and that's okay!" And he was elected mayor. That was something really impressive. And this year he was re-elected mayor. Well, that proves that even politicians don't have to hide anymore. Not in Germany and I believe nowhere in the western hemissphere. Surely there will be always guys who are positively in a terrible rage about folks as queer as that. But why do you want to hide - because of those? Of course there are also people like a former flatmate of mine who said that this liberality won't last for long and gays and lesbians had to cover up once more one day. He was a German nationalist (no real neo-NAZI then, dunno what he's like now).
Keks / Oli Oli has also a column on his Hompage about Gay-Stars, I believe prominent members of a society can be idols and good exmaples for others. (But they need not to be: you have to be strong enough yourself and you need mostly friends - good friends, real friends.)
Talking about prominent examples: Robbie Williams is none, he's a clown - a good looking clown but that doesn't matter: one day he says or is cited to be gay and the other day he says: that's a joke.

Linx:

I have also a queer linkpage (of course winking), and I wrote about Peter my boy-friend, how I learned to know him and a lot about the queer life:

Most of the links above ⇑ lead to articles I wrote about queer / gay life being not translated yet but the following two links lead to pages already translated:

I've also written two queer short stories (one of them still is to be continued; the stories themselves are not translated and I think I won't ever do that):
